Joystick Button Assignment ON/Off

It is good to see most cockpit switches are assignable. However, they are mostly toggle. If you have hardware switches it is preferable to have them assigned to ON/OFF because as toggle switches the two actions of the switch can get out of sync visually with what you expect. For example if you have a switch set up so that OFF is down and up is ON and you have the switch in the cockpit to look like this and you then move the cockpit switch with a mouse the the hardware switch is visually out of sync with the cockpit switch. I suggest that it would be better to have a switch assignable as ON OFF and TOGGLE that way the user has a choice how they want the hardware switch to act.
I have had a friend who can do these things make a script that enables me to use my assignments in the AB 412 in such a manner and it really is much better. For example in VR I can tell by the feel of the switch wether it is ON or OFF. I realise that some people have to maximise there switch functions if they have a limited number of switches but for those with sufficient switches ON/OFF is far preferable.
The ec135 is a fantastic simulation and a credit to all those involved in its production.
On the subject of assignable functions I am surprised that developers do not make every switch, button and lever assignable in the X-Plane menu as it would make the process of switch assignments so much more user friendly. Although you have made this so for most functions there are still a few missing such as the guard for the start switches and the standby horizon.
Anyway - a great simulation, thank you from an ex-helicopter pilot (12,000 hours)

Thanks. We're glad to hear that.

This helicopter is designed to be operated in 3D cockpit with mouse or in VR. In addition, there are actually only a few functions that can be placed on keys for a better user experience. And of course everything you need to be able to operate directly on the controls.

It's different in the Pro version. This is intended to be operated with a real cockpit. There you can connect all the switches as real switches, and they then work as it is necessary for a switch.

Thank you for your reply. However, it does not answer my question fully. The commands you supply for X-Plane could be expanded as I suggest - other developers have done so and as I said I have had a friend do so for the AB 412.  And , indeed you have done so for your commercial version. I would quite happily pay for the features I suggest but not the amount for the commercial version. Perhaps there is a half way house where you make a pay ware version that is not as sophisticated as your present commercial version but has features as I suggest. I have been flight slimming now for only two years but amazed that developers get about 80% of the way to a completed project but most never bother to improve very much on this. I am not depreciating your project which is a cut above average but not as good as it could be.
