Fuel flow? And a few other questions/comments. wurde erstellt von JoshM
Hello,
I've been checking out your XP12 update for the EC-135 and like it very much, well done. I see the engine control commands will be coming back in next update. One thing I noticed that is peculiar, is that fuel flow seems to have doubled(?) from the XP11 version. I distinctly remember in the XP11 version, getting right around 85-90kg/hour per engine or so in a 110-125kt cruise depending on my weight. Now it's like 170kg/hour or something around there. Basically, before in 11 I would get a predictable and reasonably realistic 3-3.25 hour range before tapping into normal reserves, but now it's more like 1.8-2.0 hours and I'm in a reserve fuel state? Can you confirm if this is happening on your end, and if it's a bug or not? Also I'm sure you know or maybe have experienced/had this reported, but on my end the faded when I go to idle from flight acts a bit weird, in that it tries to fail the engine at first then comes back (sometimes gets pretty exciting). Otherwise, great update and look forward to lots more flying in it

The bug with fuel flow is fixed with V5.21.
Your other observation is very interesting. In the short term, N1 drops below 50%, which is the threshold for the ENG FAIL caution. But this only happens with TW 2 and only in X-Plane 12.
I assume this is related to an unfortunate bug in X-Plane 12. There are problems with the freewheeling turbines in helicopters. Austin ignores the problem, even though his helicopter specialist also confirmed the problem. Let's see if we can mitigate this a bit with another workaround.
